Cam King

Cam King is lead guitarist and second in command of The Freddie Steady 5. He was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico. It was there he began playing music in local groups. He started his career playing music professionally in Austin, TX. Known as a great guitar player and gifted songwriter, he first had a song of his titled "Circuit Queen" covered by Marcia Ball in 1975. It was the title cut on her first major label record.

He has since had his songs covered by county-rock group Lone Star and Garth Brooks to name a few. He and Freddie Steady first began working together in 1978 and have continued to do so off and on ever since. Their group was called The Explosives. Cam lives in Nashville at present and commutes to gigs with Freddie Steady 5 and The Explosives
