If A Song Sticks In Your Head It Is A Good One! (that's what I was told)

My commute to work also involved dropping my wife off at her job first. When we got in the car at 7:35 a.m. Radio Margaritaville on Sirius was playing a Keith Sykes song, “I Want to Go to the Islands.”

That set the stage for a trip out of our east side subdivision, which had not been snowplowed, then onto Creasy Lane, north to Greenbush Street and west to Sagamore Parkway.

There was evidence that snowplows had been down all the main arteries, and one plow was observed heading south on Sagamore Parkway near Underwood Street.

The drive was uneventful and traffic was fairly sparse, with schools and many businesses closed.

After dropping my wife off at her office near Duncan Road and Sagamore Parkway, traveling south on snowplowed Ninth Street to the downtown area provided no driving adventures.

I arrived a few minutes before 8 a.m., but that Keith Sykes song keeps going through my mind.
